Shehu Sani is a prolific activist, author and playwright. He has been politically jailed many times in Nigeria, he once shared jail with the likes of Obasanjo and Late Ken Saro-Wiwa. According to him, he was footsteps away in his jail when Saro-Wiwa was murdered by Nigerian security agencies.
Fast forward now, he's now senator-elect representing Kaduna Central on APC platform. Meanwhile the Senate President, David Mark, was one time military Governor of Niger state (1984-1986), Mark visited Sani's secondary school when he was a student. Life cab be very funny, this is what he said......
Senator David Mark visited my secondary school when he was a Governor and I was a student; Both of us are in the senate now under different parties,differing political ideology and different political pedigree.
