Ruben Abati, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Goodluck Jonathan in an interview with BBC Africa gave us an insight of what happened behind closed doors in the Jonathan household while election results were been announce. The president was very calm as the results were being announced even after it was clear that he had lost the election, he said. Mr President called and told me that is all over, he then told me what he wants said in the statement he wants me to prepare, he was particular about peace and stability he stated.
We can't but agree with Mr Ruben that President Goodluck Jonathan's statement that "Anybody's ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian" is a powerful statement that we will all remember forever. He's very right because that statement stress the importance of Nigerian lives and their well being. It suppresses and nullify over ambitious politicians that thinks politics is a do or die affair even if people's lives are at risk. See the video after the cut.
