Dubai is on a rampage to combat money laundering especially by Nigerian politicians. The UAE is shutting down all bank accounts that are operated or own by Nigerians that doesn't work or reside in the Emirate in order to avoid and fight money laundering.
It is also reported that Nigerian Politicians now have a trend of operating bank accounts in the emirate in recent times.
I can't independently verify this story but they might be an iota of truth in it.
