Heavily armed robbers, fully dressed in military uniform shooting sporadically storm FCMB Bank in Lekki, today, Thursday, March 12, in a deadly robbery that has left 1 confirmed Police officer dead and another bystander suspected to be a young girl. Unconfirmed report has it that 2 more police officers are dead and 2 bystanders. A petty trader was also injured who has since been rushed to the hospital.
The armed robbers tried a get away through the Ikoyi - Lekki link bridge but met fierce resistance of th Nigerian police attached to the bridge through a gun battle, however they made off in a speedboat. Security agencies including Nigerian army has been despatched to the area to calm situation.
