Ogun State Signs Multi-Billion Dollar Railway Construction Deal With Chinese Company
The Ogun State government has signed a multi-billion dollar deal with Chinese company China Civil Engineering Construction, CCECC to build an intra and inter-city railway in the state.
According to ARC Lekan Adegbite, Ogun State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, the project is a four phase project, the first phase commences first. The first phase it will be around the industrial cities, Ota and Agbara annex of the state. CCECC will provide the projects funds.
Majority of the material for the heavy construction will be sourced locally, the state government has vow to encourage local dealers to tap into the opportunity.
