20-year-old University student, Mhairi Black Of Scottish National Party (SNP) has been elected the MP of Paisley and Renfrewshire South, Scotland. She unseat MP Douglas Alexander, Of the Labour party, who is also Shadow Foreign Secretary. This is a major blow for labour, Mr Alexander is a key member of the labour party, and campaign chief.
Mhairi Black is now the baby of the house (the youngest in the parliament) and the youngest MP in UK history since 1667.
This is to show that democracy indeed lives in the UK, where it started.
