Nigeria past presidents meets in Aso-Rock today for council of state meeting, the last for Goodluck Jonathan's administration. Council of state meeting is a meeting that takes place among past Nigeria presidents/head of state, National Assembly Speaker and Governor Forum Chairman, they meet to advise the sitting president on strategies relating developmental issues of the country. They are constitutionally recognised.
Like when Goodluck Jonathan pardoned former Gov of Bayelsa, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, he should have first seek the approval of the council but he didn't.
Present in the meeting today are President-elect Buhari, Ibrahim Babangida, Ernest Sonekan, Shagari, Abdulsalami Abubakar (the guy with white beard), Gov. Olusegun Mimiko, Pres. Goodluck Jonathan etc
