OAU May Shut Down Over Unpaid 64 Months Allowance

Obafemi Awolowo University may shut down following the protest of non-academic staff over unpaid allowances that have accumulated to 64 months. The school student union leader, Akande Omotayo, said the union is studying the situation very closely that it's aware of the protest. He further added that the shut down may be necessary if the inconvenience of the protest persist but this has to be determined at a congress meeting.

School authorities on the other hand is saying the shut down is likely but isn't due to the unpaid allowance but due to mid-semester break.
