Baby With Most Of His Brain Missing Celebrates 1st Birthday

 Jaxon Strong was is one of the few babies with a condition called Microhydranencephaly, meaning he was born with most of his brain missing. Children with these rare condition dies shortly after birth. Jaxon parents, devoted Christians went against the advice of Doctors to have an abortion when Jaxon condition first came to their attention. 

“Who are we to decide? We were given a child, we are given a chance and we have to be his voice. We did everything we could to give him a fighting chance and all he’s done since being born is fight right back.”

His parents has come to terms with his brief life expectancy. His first few months of his life was spent in the hospital, during which he suffered multiple seizures, inconsolable screaming and feeding issues but has got a lot better with the help of medication.

“It is always in the back of my mind. I’m very aware that today maybe his last day. I’m aware tomorrow he may not be here.”
