The Nigeria state has signed an agreement with Russia state owned ROSATOM to build 4 atomic nuclear plants costing $80bn according to Franklin Erepamo Osaisai, chairman and CEO of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission. The first nuclear plant will be operational in 2025, by 2035 the 4 plant will be operational. The project will be partly funded between the two party, majority of the stake will be owned by ROSATOM while the rest will be owned by the Nigeria state. The 4 atomic nuclear plant is expected to generate a total of 4,800 megawatts. Nigeria at the moment generates 3,800 megawatts at it's peak.
