Buhari May Set Up A Special Court That Will Only Deal With Corruption And Tax Invasion

In order to accelerate court hearings and take the humongous burden of court cases off the traditional court, the in-coming administration of Buhari may establish a new court specially tailored to deal with corruption and tax invasion cases only. This approach is expected to positively affect hearings time-frame too.

Senator Aloysius Etok, Chairman of the Anti- Money Laundering and Cyber Security Coalition at the National Assembly revealed that the Senate and the National Assembly are pleased with this is plan. He stated..
“We are confident that these courts will give accelerated hearing to tax evasion cases and other cases bothering on corruption,” he said. Senator Etok disclosed that the National Assembly is probing about 115 tax offenders.
