Dr. Dele Momodu, the Ovation magazine founder is a mum's boy if you know him. He always speak about his mum and the upbringing she gave him. He loves his mum like every kid should. Two days ago marked the 7th year his mother's death, and he couldn't help but to reminisce about the good old days and the precious times they shared. Below is a little story about his mum.
Dr. Dele Momodu died on June 14 , 1973, since then he was left with his poor unlettered woman who struggled to send him to school. The only child of his mum for his dad, Dele was particularly close to his darling mum who was fondly called Iya Gbongan. Before her death on May 18, 2007, two days after Dele's birthday, they had spent quality time together at home and in hospital. The last thing madam Gladys Momodu told her so when was crying and begging her not to die was, "Ayobamidele, Jesu O wa palu re.."Even now, I've started crying. I miss you dearly, Maami
