INDIA: 2.3 MILLION People Applied For £150-Per-Month Office Job And Interview Will Take Four Years.

Unemployment is a bad situation for one to be in especially if you have a family to feed. Situations like this will have you looking for any job just to bring home the daily bread regardless of your presumed social class.

The government of Uttar Pradesh advertise 368 job each for 16,000 rupees (£150)-per-month which include errands and tea making position. The job went live in August and closed in Sept 14. Application received hit 2.3 Million.

Senior administrative officer Prabhat Mittal said the state government will conduct a written exam to screen the applicants because interviewing all of them would take four years. 

At least 255 applicants had a doctorate, more than 200,000 had graduate degrees and at least 30 trained computer engineers were among those who applied. 

Alok Ranjan, senior government officer, said: “This is astoundingly high number of applicants.
