Canada Appoints Indian Born Former Police Officer And War Veteran As Defense Minister

Canada newly elected Liberal Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has appoint and swear in India born Harjit Sajjan, a former police officer and veteran of three military deployments to Afghanistan. Sajjan is a Lieutenant-Colonel in Canada's armed forces and worked in the Canadian police force for 11 years.

His appointment is causing a bit of frenzy in the Canada media sphere. They believe this is a through reflection of the prime minister promise of diversity.
