Obesity is caused by so many factors which includes overeating, high fat diet, sedentary lifestyle, some blood pressure medication and hormone disorder.
Obesity is usually determined by body mass index (BMI), which is a formula that calculates the ratio of your height to your weight.
BMI 25 to 29.9 (overweight)
BMI 30 and above (obese)
BMI 40 and above (extremely obese)
- High cholesterol (including high triglyceride levels)
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Heart disease
- Stroke
- Sleep apnea (episodes when a person stops breathing while asleep)
