INEC Releases Official Statement About Kogi State Gubernatorial Election And The Demise Of Abubakar Audu

Independent National Electoral Commission released her official statement addressing the Kogi State governorship election. If you can't read the text on the image, below is what the statement states.


The independent National Electoral Commission conducted Governorship Election in Kogi State on 21st November 2015 which was declared inconclusive.

On the 23rd November, the All Progressive Congress (APC) notified the Commission of the death of its Governorship candidate in the election, Prince Abubakar Audu.
The Commission has, after the consideration of the circumstances decided as follows.

(i) to conclude the process by conducting election in the 91 affected Polling Unuts as announced by the Returning officer
(ii) to follow All Progressive Congress to fill the vancancy created by the death of its candidate.
(iii) to conduct the supplementary election on the 5th December 2015

Accordingly, notice is hereby given to the 22 Political Parties participating in the Kogi Governorship Election that supplement election in the 91 affected Polling Units shall hold on 5th December, 2015

According to Vanguard Newspaper Nigeria, the picture above is of an underage voter getting accredited today for the ongoing National Assembly and Gubernatorial election. If we recall there was an under-age voter in the Presidential election too in the North, INEC later declared the underage voter wanted.

Godsday Orubebe is now a popular man that has made his way into urban dictionary as a result of his behaviour during the announcement of the presidential election results. Mr Orubebe is a man that believes Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC chairman Prof. Jega was partial in his response to PDP's objection over Kano's presidential election. He obstructed the event and ranted for minutes like he was Kanye West's dad. Prof. Jega later calmly addressed him in a manner that silent him forever.

Curfew on state of Bauchi by their governor due to fear an Boko Haram attack couldn't stop the people of Bauch to man their votes outside INEC office all night from the weekend, they patiently wait for the election results to be announced some of which stayed outside INEC's office all night. But sadly this morning what appear to be look violence sparked between electorates manning their votes non-violently and soldier which lead to the death of  man. Stern Looking Police Officers Tear Gas APC Protesters In Rivers State.

 APC Protesters in Rivers State outside INEC office was tear gas by Police. These protesters has been calling for the cancellation of the Presidential/ Senate/ House of Reps elections in the state because they were disenfranchised at the elections on Saturday, 28 March. Reports on election day did suggest they were some inconsistency at the elections and violence instigated by purported PDP thugs.

The APC chapter of the state is also demanding the suspension of the Resident Electoral commissioner, Mrs Gesila Kahn they accused her of rigging the elections in collision with PDP.

The Independent National Electoral Commissions (INEC) in Emohua local government area has been set ablaze by unknown political thugs.

Vanguard gathered that the building located at Emohua, the Capital of the council which houses the electoral body was Sunday morning engulf in fire.

INEC Official Website Hacked!

The official website of INEC was hacked earlier by a group of hackers called Nigeria Cyber Army NCA. The institution website had a message from the notorious group preaching about justice, but it looks like INEC has taken over control of the website because the message on their home page has since change.
